It's worth watching. I'm not making many guesses, yet. Except I expect virtual reality tech to hit a whole new level. Good? Bad? I don't really know. Perhaps it'll change the indie publishing world. What if the next advance for us indies is a step beyond audio books? What if it's AI movies of our books? We'll see.
I think AI filmmaking is just about there. Filmmaker Darren Aronofsky is supposed to be developing an AI series for one of the streaming services, and Roger Avary was quoted as saying that he couldn't get funding for films till he announced an AI production company.
I myself am curious about CYOA in an interactive way, perhaps starting with standard choices to set up your own adventures, and in time you can customize your adventures by creating them yourself, as dangerous as you want them to be.
fascinating to see how grungy the beginnings of pulp where. it goes to show how a tiny improvement can bring big results.
