This is the Rocketeer coming at you with podcast #56. It’s a special one, explorers. You may have noticed that the Rocketeer has taken a step up in promotions lately. It’s true! That’s because I have a big year ahead. Three new books and one 2nd edition from my Lucina Press imprint and another book by a publisher I’ve worked with before and just adore—First Fandom Experience. They follow a parallel track to my interests and their books are stellar in production. I’m featured in the new one as a writer and artist. No, the book isn’t about me... but well, I’m in there alongside my heroes of the pulp era: Doc Smith, Edmond Hamilton, Ray Palmer and more than a dozen others. Me!! It’s an enormous honor. All of this is leading up to Seattle WorldCon in August where I’ll be presenting an academic paper about 1930s science fiction. Can you say, exciting?!! But all that’s jumping ahead. You’ll hear about it all, I promise! For today, we’re rolling into the new publishing year with a cover reveal for the second edition of my illustrated short story, “Anchor.” (ARCs go out this week too, so look for a Midnight Dispatch in a couple of days.) Some of you have read my book, most have not. But now’s your chance to get the 2nd edition with a snazzy new cover (hand-painted by me, of course! Plus, a new interior illustration.) The eBook goes on sale March 9th and the new print book a short while later. It will be available in all the usual outlets online. So exciting!
Now, let’s get back to the topic of the day—consciousness travel in science fiction….
And now, the cover reveal for Anchor’s Second Edition. What do you think?
Catch you on the flip side, Space Explorers!
