This week I’m going to do things a little bit differently. Podcast 37 will be made up of two parts—Part 1 is at the usual time today and Part 2 will happen sometime before the end of the week. In this two-parter I’ll be reviewing two romances from the 1930’s—“Fires of Fate” from 1931 by Peggy Gaddis and “Mad Folly” from 1937 by Beulah Poynter.
In Part 1 I’ll be talking about the Peggy Gaddis’ short story. In Part 2 I’ll discuss Poynter’s, “Mad Folly.” The reason for linking these two works together is that they use similar tropes, most notably—shipboard love triangles.
