This is a neat post. The outsider artist have always been with us. They were too ahead of their time. They would do great today where they can incorporate their artistic ideas with what is possible with digital tools to create amazing stuff!
Thanks! Outsider artists have always been necessary but now, they're taking over. Or at least that's how it seems to me. The lines of tension between mediocre and sanitized mainstream art and art created by people doing their own things are getting more taut. It'll be interesting to see what happens next.
Yeah you hit on so many interesting things. it seems like the French have always been ahead when it comes to art. For myself I think that in general I always look for art that has that outsider edge over the commercial-driven. And on these platforms we have access to it. We are definitely in interesting times.
