Very relatable story. The hunger for artistic recognition and the need for an uncompromised vision.

Yeah, it's a gnarly issue. Also, the morass of a population seeking sameness in art. We haven't had a real new art movement since the mid-20th century! That's just crazy. I wonder sometimes about the point of producing any art. But, of course, I know better than to sit with those thoughts for very long. Yeesh.

I think about this sometimes too, when we had noticeable movements in art and entertainment, and if it's possible to have that again now that culture is so fragmented. We have individual situations like Bansky, but not a school of thought in art. Maybe there's a quiet art revolution online somewhere that only a few people know about, and they want to keep it secret because they don't want it commodified. Fascinating stuff!

That'd be something. I wonder about a new type of art movement, more fragmented but unified in the desire to create human-made art. I could see that happening.

I think so too. We already see a big division with AI generated art with some artists steadfastly refusing to use it, and out of this tension new art forms are evolving that we don't know about yet.

Yes, I agree. New art forms and new ideas about them. I look forward to devices which can bring our inner visions into holographic display. I think that's coming, although it might be beyond my lifetime.

That would be gnarly! It might reveal too much about the inside of our heads!
