Fun stuff. I'll have to read the ones I have. As in, the Moore and Kuttner stories. Haven't read either of those yet. I'm about halfway through each collection, but have other things I'm reading as well. Finally giving Harold W Percival a go, and a few others...

Just finished The Last Starfighter movie adaptation by Alan Dean Foster. Loved that movie as a kid. I'll probably watch again soon.

Also might watch The Last Mimzy this weekend, even though it doesn't quite parallel the story. In the story, the parents are, dare I say "reprehensible". They're not likable people. Even the idea of "growing up" to be like them is unappealing.

Pretty sure in the movie it's not quite so dichotomous. Is that a word? Now it is!

I invented shitwit yesterday. A more pointed version of nitwit.

Creative language is good and it sounds like you're having a good time bending it to your will. :)

"The Last Mimzy" is certainly not the original, it has twisted the meaning of the story but it's fun, nonetheless. You might want to listen to the teleplay of the "The Twonky," if you haven't already. That's a fairly literal rendition of the story and scary as hell. I have not seen the 1953 movie, though, so I'm not sure about that one.

Thanks for the reference.

Whatever the case, they have to be better than Jabberwocky with the Monty Python crew. Or most of the Alice in Wonderlands...
